Tiny Tots
Next Saturday, families can check out Tiny Tots at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. This intro to music series is presented by professional musicians and music educators Let Your Music Shine with Lisa and Linda. Geared for kids up to age 5, the December 3rd show is entitled Holiday Hooray! and takes place at the Anvil Centre in New Westminster.
Hansel and Gretel
Taking place at the Vancouver Playhouse, the Vancouver Opera’s production of Hansel and Gretel is a great intro to opera for kids 6 and up. There’s only two more weekends to catch this sweet show.
Vancouver Bach Choir presents Christmas with the Bach Choir
On Sunday, December 4th, take the family to the Orpheum Theatre to enjoy the music of Bach and get into the holiday mood. The Bach Choir family has singers as young as 5 performing this beautiful music. More than 400 singers will partake in this kickoff to the holiday season.
13th Annual Rogers Santa Claus Parade
Also on Sunday, the 13th Annual Rogers Santa Claus Parade takes place, starting at West Georgia and Broughton Streets. This is the largest Christmas parade in Western Canada. It’s also one of the largest food and fundraising events for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. It’s the perfect kick off to the holiday season! There will be marching bands, dancers, floats and much more. Spectators are asked to donate to the “Spirit of Giving.” For every $1 donated, the Food Bank can purchase $3 worth of food.
