Wednesday’s Style – Accessorize Your Spring Family Photo Shoot | Vancouver Family Photographer

wednesdays styleSpring is in the air! The flowers will begin to bloom in Vancouver and warmer weather is on its way. Spring is the perfect time to schedule your family’s photo session. Since the weather is getting nicer, you’ll probably want to take your pictures outside (and who can blame you). So it’s time to start thinking how you want to accessorize your family.

Although it’s almost Spring, there’s still a chill in the air, so it’s best to dress everyone in layers. This can mean a long cardigan over a dress for women, blazers over a polo shirt for men and more. Scarves are always a wonderfully versatile accessory. You can wear them so many different ways – as you can see in this post.

Young girls will love to play with different types of hair clips and headbands, while boys may like to play around with a selection of hats. Now’s also the time to incorporate nature too. Grab a handful of flowers and maybe put a few in your daughter’s hair, or in your husband’s jacket pocket. Or you can bring in some bright balloons or even a kite for some added depth.

Recently Updated10Color is your best friend. It’s been a long winter but now we’re finally pulling through to sunny, warmer weather. So ditch the drab and add some pops of color to your wardrobe. Accessories are the perfect way to do this. Kids can wear a pair of bright shoes or boots, women can layer a bold statement necklace over a dress or top and men can wear a belt or tie in an unexpected shade.

Have fun playing around with your accessories. Spring is a time of new beginnings and a time to create a bit of whimsey in your family portraits.
