Sunday Showcase – Vancouver Area Events | Vancouver Family Photographer
It’s that time again! Time to start planning your family’s activities for next weekend. Luckily, the weather should be getting a bit warmer (we hope!) and it’s time to start spending more time outdoors. Here are some fun events to check out with your family.
Take the kids to the Champlain Heights Community Centre for Music with Marnie. Marnie Grey performs a wide range of songs geared towards children such as “Puddle Jumping Fun” and “Swinging Like Monkeys.” She was the 2012 Readers Choice Gold Winner by West Coast Families Magazine. Check it out!
Check out the Vancouver Winter Farmer’s Market – taking place each Saturday through April 26. The market takes place in the parking lot at the Nat Bailey Stadium and features an array of vendors selling organic produce, breads, cheese and so much more. Grab a crepe and some hot chocolate and start shopping!
Visit the Mackin House Museum on Saturday, March 15 to decorate Shamrock sugar cookies just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. The recipe comes from the 1915 Five Roses Cook Book! Kids will have fun decorating (and eating) their creations. Click here to register for the event.
If your kids (or you for that matter) are fans of Richard Scarry’s books, check out Carousel Theatre’s musical What Do People Do All Day. Based on Scarry’s book, the musical features beloved characters such as Lowly Worm, Huckle Cat and Betsy Bear. It runs through March 30.
