Sunday’s Showcase – What to do in the Vancouver Area Next Weekend | Vancouver Photographer
Next weekend is the first official weekend of September. And even if the weather isn’t that crisp yet, head outside for some fall activities to get you in the mood for everything the season has to offer.
The 9th annual Day at the Farm takes place on Saturday, September 6 at the Westham Island Herb Farm. Created by the Delta Farmland and Wildlife Trust, this event will help educate visitors about the importance of local agriculture and the environment. There will be live music, a cookie contest, potato dig and an antique tractor display. Food will be provided by White Spot’s “On the Go” food truck. Free admission!
Head to Sunstone Park in Delta for the Luminary Festival. This is a truly beautiful evening where lanterns light up the night sky. The festival will include a parade of lights, concert, kids activities, food vendors and more. This is one you don’t want to miss!
The Coho Festival will be held on Sunday, September 7 at Ambleside Park. Celebrating the return of the Coho Salmon the festival kicks off with the 14K Coho Run to the park. There will also be live entertainment, a nature walk around the Cleveland Dam, kids activities, art exhibitions and a salmon barbecue.
White Rock Beach will be the host of the 2nd annual Moon Festival next weekend. The festival celebrates Chinese and Canadian culture and is presented in conjunction with the Association of Chinese Cultural Promotion Canada. More than 500 Chinese lanterns will light up the White Rock Pier and Museum. Enjoy art displays, entertainment and food vendors at the festival.
