Sunday’s Showcase – What to do in the Vancouver Area Next Weekend | Vancouver Family Photographer
Now that it’s officially July, we are getting into the real thick of summer. Head out next weekend and enjoy summertime. Here are some fantastic events that you should check out with the family.
Want to see some extreme sports in action? Head over to the Whistler Longboard Festival taking place July 3-6. There will be races throughout the four day festival as well as live music, special events and even classes geared towards each level skill (including Junior classes for those 17 and under). It’s a exciting way to spend some time outside next weekend.
Check out the Carnaval del Sol taking place on July 5 and 6 right in the heart of downtown Vancouver. It’s a fun and festive arts and music event that will bring the culture of Latin America right to Vancouver. Featuring music, food, a marketplace and special children’s events, this is a festival not to be missed.
Visit the Quattro Building in Surrey for the 5th Annual Quattro Street Fair on July 5th. The street fair will feature an array of family-friendly activities such as live music, delicious food, shopping and face painting. Soak up the sun while enjoying one of the summer’s best fairs.
You can also check out the Pioneer Fair at the Historic Stewart Farm. Visitors are encouraged to come dressed in period pioneer costumes! There will be old-fashioned games, live music, tours of the farmhouse, homemade ice cream, lemonade, popcorn and more.
