It seems that our summer calendars tend to fill up quite easily. There’s so much to pack into such a short amount of time! So start thinking about next weekend now and get some of these fun family activities down on the calendar.
Like tennis? Then come out to see the first ever Stanley Park Open. Pros will play a series of exciting matches in addition to a Junior’s series, a celebrity tennis challenge, and so much more. It’s a great opportunity to catch a serious game and all for free!
If theater is more your speed, come see a performance of Shrek: The Musical presented by Theatre Under the Stars at Stanley Park. Pack a picnic, grab a blanket and watch some terrific live, family-friendly theater right under the stars.
If you’re looking to try some new food (and who isn’t?) get over to the Surrey Food Cart Fest. More than 15 food trucks will be there to showcase some of their best eats. In addition to all of the yummy fare, there will be live music, DJ’s, craft food vendors and more. Bring a non-perishable food item to get in for free. All donations go right to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.
The Second Annual Ocean Park Village Summer Festival is taking place in White Rock next weekend.Celebrating artists and artisans, this three day festival will feature performances, a family movie night, art shows, music and even a beach party. Head over there on Sunday for a pancake breakfast and golf for the kids.
