So you’ve booked an upcoming photo session for your family. It’s time to start thinking about what you’ll wear, what your kids will wear…and what your husband will wear? Let’s face it, although they may have the best intentions, most husbands don’t have a handle on what’s happening in the world of fashion. So give your guy some help when it comes to styling him for your upcoming session. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did!
First decide on type of clothing and a general color palette. You don’t have to all be matchy-matchy, instead, compliment one another. For example, if you’re wearing a cobalt blue dress, your husband can pick up the color in a skinny tie or fun pair of socks peeking out from his pant leg.
– Jeans work well for a casual yet polished look. Just make sure they’re clean and free of holes or fading. A belt goes a long way in helping to polish a good pair of jeans.
– Play around with different textures. If it’s a cool weather shoot, a great leather jacket or corduroy sports coat with a bright scarf work well.
– Have fun and don’t take it too seriously. This is fashion, not physics.
