I know the week just started, but I’m already thinking about next weekend! And there’s tons of fun things for the whole family to do in and around the Vancouver area. So check everyone’s schedules and add some cool activities to the calendar before it starts to fill up.
Get in your last couple of weeks of skating at the Robson Square Ice Rink, through February 28th. It’s free to skate and skate rentals are only $4. Take in the beautiful views right in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Let your kids become a part of this beloved tradition and create some new memories.
Visit the Lonsdale Quay Market for your Olympic viewing pleasure. You can watch all of the coverage of the 2014 games while cheering on Team Canada. There also a ton of shops and restaurants to check out in between hockey periods and figure skating routines.
Check out the Baker’s Market on Sunday, February 23rd at the Moberly Arts and Cultural Centre for a wide selection of sweet treats. The best part – there’s free parking, free admission and even free samples! What better way to spend your Sunday?
The 3rd annual Lantern Festival takes place on February 22nd at the Douglas Recreation Centre. Hosted by the City of Langley in partnership with the Langley Arts Council, the festival celebrates the cultural diversity of the area. In addition to the display of hand-painted paper lanterns created by members of the community, there will be entertainment, dance performances and refreshments.
