2016 IGNITE! Youth-Driven Arts Festival
For one week each May, The Cultch is transformed by young artists between the ages of 13-24. This event has become Vancouver’s largest youth-driven arts festival. It includes showcases and exhibits in music, dance, plays, variety shows, circus arts, and much more. Come by and support local art and Vancouver’s youth.
Billy Elliot
Billy Elliot, the musical just opened at the Stanley Alliance Industrial Stage. This family-friendly show is based on the movie and features music by Elton John. The inspiring tale of a boy taking up ballet as England’s 1984 coal miners strike swirls around him is one the whole family can enjoy. The show runs through July 10th.
Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair
It’s almost hard to believe next weekend will be the 128th annual Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair! There will be so many activities to check out during this four day event. They include the area’s largest Midway with rides for all ages, animals, kids zone, a lumberjack show, freestyle skateboarding, live music and so much more. Be sure to come with a big appetite as the Cowboy Rib Fest is back by popular demand.
GO Fest – Whistler’s Great Outdoors Festival
Next weekend also brings out the crowds for Whistler’s Great Outdoors Festival. Expect a slew of extreme sports and see where the summer and winter collide with sliding on snow, golfing, bike riding and water sports.
