Sunday’s Showcase – What to do in Vancouver – Vancouver Family Photographer
Hard to believe back-to-school time is upon us and September is just days away. That doesn’t mean that you have to stop all the great family fun you’ve been having this summer. Continue it through the fall and beyond to make some special memories for your family. Here are some fun upcoming events to check out in the Vancouver area.
Richmond World Festival
Come visit the city’s newest signature event – the Richmond World Festival on September 5th. The one-day festival will include many special events including musical performances, sports demos and food from all around the world. There will also be a food truck festival and activities for all ages. Come on out and enjoy.
Corn Festival
Fall is the time of year for festivals and another one to check out is the Corn Festival at Britannia. This Latin American-themed event will let guests savor all of the flavors of Latin American cuisine. The corn harvest fiesta will also celebrate the importance of corn as well as efforts to protect its biodiversity. There will be food, music, dancing and more.
LEGO: A Fraser Valley Odyssey
You only have a couple of more weeks to check out the LEGO exhibit at the Surrey Museum. Members of the Vancouver LEGO Club have transformed the museum with thousands of bricks, telling the tales of the Fraser Valley’s past and present. You’ll see mammoths running through Cloverdale and spaceships at the Fraser Surrey Docks. Don’t miss this!
SummerFest 2015: Concert Series Sundays
September 6th is the last day to catch the Summerfest Concert Series Sundays. The ten-week series has featured live music, dancing, dance lessons, yoga and many more family-friendly community activities throughout the summer. Located at the Lonsdale Quay Market, make sure to visit the festival while you still can. Sunday’s featured performer is Mozzy Lane, a folk rock band from the North Shore.
