Sunday’s Showcase – What to do in the Vancouver Area – Vancouver Child and Family Photographer
Next weekend is the first of May which means the weather should be beautiful! Here are some fun and family friendly activities to check out in the Vancouver area.
Abbotsford Tulip Festival
We’ve mentioned it before but next weekend is your last chance to attend the Abbotsford Tulip Festival. In addition to tons of colorful tulips, there will be a u-pick area to build your own bouquet, food trucks, picnic area and a children’s play area too. Be sure not to miss the duck races and lawn games!
The Jungle Book
The Carousel Theatre for Young People presents The Jungle Book. The coming-of-age story follows the young boy Mowgli who is raised by wolves. He learns from the animals of the jungle and is taught to have courage. The one-hour show is recommended for ages 6 and up.
Heritage Mother’s Day Gift Making
On Saturday, April 30th, take your young crafters to the Mother’s Day Gift Making at the Mackin House Museum. Kids will make a heritage craft while parents can sit and relax with a cup of tea in the parlor. Staff and volunteers will help the children make a special craft for the special moms in their lives.
Arbor Day
Take a trip to Holland Park for the 12th Annual Arbor Day celebration. The free, family-friendly event has a variety of activities including ones for kids, live music, BBQ lunch, displays and tree planting. Guests may also purchase a tree which also helps benefit Surrey’s urban forest.
