Now that the weather is warming up, your home’s style should also reflect the change. No more need for comfy, oversized throw blankets, baskets of firewood and pumpkin-scented candles. Here are a few quick updates you can do around the house to make your home shine for the summer.

Nothing says fresh like a floral bouquet. Whether it’s one you snip from your own garden or buy at the corner market, fresh flowers make a beautiful statement in any home.

Switch out the throw pillows on your sofa to add color and dimension to any room. This is a quick and easy way to breathe new life into any room. And don’t be afraid to experiment – there are so many inexpensive pillow options at the stores these days, you can afford to create a few new looks that you can easily switch up.

Now’s also the time to change up your kids artwork. Since school is nearing a close, they probably have many end-of-the-year projects worthy of display. Find some colorful frames and let their artwork be your own personal gallery.

The same can be done with favorite family photos. Find some photos that include a lot of color, natural light and nature surroundings. Place them in beautiful frames and let the photography be a part of your new and improved decor.
