Sunday’s Showcase – Easy Fall Touches – Vancouver Family Photographer

We are almost into October already (if you can believe it!) Which also means Halloween is coming right around the corner. If you’d like to add some subtle fall decorations to your home, but don’t want it to scream jack-o-lanterns and skeletons, here are some fun and easy ways to bring fall flavor into your living space.

Dress up your table. This is so easy to do. You can get placemats or a table runner in deep jewel tones to change up the look of your space.  Add some natural decor to the table such as pinecones, apples, leaves and other items in large glass cylinders to make a big impact for little money.

Decorate the mantle. Chances are, your fireplace mantle’s decor doesn’t change much throughout the year, save for holiday season. Breathe some new life into it with displays of large pillar candles, pumpkins in a variety of colors and some fall foliage. You’ll be wanting to light a cozy fire in no time.

Don’t forget about the outside. Your entryway sets the tone for the rest of your home. Welcome guests with displays of pumpkins, hay bales and other natural elements. A large, modern wreath for the door makes things look festive without going overboard.
