Sunday Showcase – What to do in the Vancouver Area Next Weekend
Can you believe next weekend will already be mid-May? Where is the time going? But before you know it, Summer will be here. Head out with the family next weekend to some of these fun events in and around town.
This will be the second weekend of the season for the Trout Lake Farmers Market at John Hendry Park. Peruse the stalls of fresh produce, baked goods and more while supporting your local vendors.
Do you have a mini-Mozart on your hands? If so, take them to Vancouver Symphony’s Tint Tots Concerts next Friday at the Playhouse Theatre and Saturday at the Terry Fox Theatre. Sing and dance along to the music of Johannes Brahams while enjoying this fun concert series.
If you’re still in the musical mood on Sunday, why not head over to the Orpheum Theatre for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s Mother Goose Kids’ Concert. Before the performance, be sure to catch the Instrument Fair in the lobby where kids can touch and play a variety of instruments found in the orchestra.
Next weekend you can also catch the 126th annual Cloverdale Country Fair and Rodeo. There will be rides, games, a lumberjack competition and BBQ cook-off to name just a few events. The whole family is guaranteed to have fun at the fair!
