Sunday Showcase – What to do in the Vancouver Area Next Weekend | Vancouver Photographer
Spring is almost here – I swear! Have you enjoyed the sunny weather we’ve had lately? It’s time to put the cold Winter behind you and get outdoors. Here are some fun events coming up next weekend that the whole family can enjoy. Maybe you can even work on your tan! 🙂
VanDusen Botanical Garden
Take a walk through the VanDusen Botanical Garden. Spring flowers such as Rhododendrons, Crocus, Magnolias and Japanses Cherries are beginning to bloom, making for a gorgeous afternoon out. The Garden has many dining options and guided tours begin on April 6.
The Vancouver Aquarium
See the Vancouver Aquarium Up Close at this exhibit of the same name. Now through April 30, visitors will have a chance to learn just what it takes to care for more than 50,000 creatures. Your child may even be picked to help out with a dolphin or otter training session.
Easter Train
Take a ride on the Easter Train. Located in Stanley Park, kids can take a ride on the miniature train, make a bunny ears craft, play games and even participate in an egg hunt. It’s a great way to spend some time outdoors – and the train is covered, in case of rain. Remember to bring your own basket to participate in the egg hunt.
Whistler Blackcomb’s Fire & Ice Show
This is your last weekend to see this fantastic ski and snowboarding show in Whistler Village. Watch as some of Whistler’s best skiers and boarders jump and flip through an amazing ring of fire, as a DJ spins and fireworks go off. Don’t miss this one!
