Wednesday’s Style – Styling your Fall Photo Shoot – Men’s Edition

wednesdays style

So, we’ve already discussed wardrobe choices for the ladies – now it’s time to help the men pick their outfits for their Fall family photo shoot.

It can be tricky to find just the right thing to wear, but here are some helpful hints to make the process as painless as possible. As with the women, it’s a good idea for the men to dress in layers. You never know if the weather is going to be warm or cool. So a polo shirt or crisp button-down looks great under a v-neck sweater or jacket.

Now that it’s fall, a corduroy or light wool sports jacket works well paired with jeans. The jeans can help make you look more casual and less corporate. Dark, rich color tones look best against the backdrop of bright skies and crisp leaves, so go for colors like navy, hunter and chocolate.

As for footwear, casual shoes are a safe bet. Please, no sneakers! You don’t want to wear formal dress shoes, but loafers or lace-ups will do the trick. Hair should be neat and styled the way you normally wear it. If you’re usually clean-shaven, then remember to shave before the photos, giving your face time to settle. If you keep your face scruffy, just make sure it’s trimmed-up neatly.

No, you don’t have to look like a male model for your photos, just the best version of yourself to help make your photo shoot truly memorable.
