Wednesday’s Style – Celebrate Victoria Day in Style
Victoria Day – not only does it give Canadians a long weekend as the unofficial start to summer, but it also is a day to celebrate one of the most famous royals in history, Queen Victoria. So this Victoria Day, have some fun and celebrate in style!
The Fort Langley May Day Parade takes place on Victoria Day and this is the perfect opportunity to spend some time outdoors and kickoff summer. Why not dress-up for the day too? Perhaps wear a colorful maxi dress in a floral print with a lightweight cardigan and flat sandals. Or dress up a great pair of jeans with a light, flowy top and bright-patterned scarf. You’re sure to impress at the parade.
If you’re feeling really fancy, why not gather some friends and host a tea party? This is the perfect excuse to maybe wear a festive hat, break out a lovely dress and have some fun with it. If you don’t feel like organizing your own party, there are many places that host high tea such as The Fairmont Hotel, The VanDusen Botanical Garden and The Urban Tea Merchant.
Whatever you do, get out and enjoy the day – there’s no reason you can’t be stylish while you do so.
