Sunday’s Showcase – What to Do – Vancouver Family Photographer
Fall is a great time to get out and do things! It’s not too warm and not too cold – it’s the perfect season! Enjoy some of these fun and family-friendly local events soon!
On Saturday, October 8, check out the 21st Annual Fort Langley Cranberry Festival. It celebrates the upcoming Thanksgiving harvest and the history of the cranberry. There will be a variety of vendors, entertainment, family activities and even a pancake breakfast. Plus, plenty of cranberries.
Come out to the Bowen Island Applefest on Sunday, October 9. This celebration of all things apple features heritage varieties of apples, plenty of tasty apple treats, live entertainment and so much more. You can even tour the Orchard Heritage Museum.
Next weekend is the official opening of the Day of the Dead at the Stanley Park Ghost Train. Take a ride through a tunnel of flames and pass by a haunted graveyard. There will be live music, performances and more to delight all ages. Tickets are $6 for children and $11 for adults. The train runs through Halloween.
Take your chance not getting lost at the Chilliwack Corn Maze and Pumpkin Farm. Now in its 18th year, the corn maze has been a staple in town ever since. There is also a kiddie maze this year celebrating the 50th anniversary of “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. In addition to the mazes, there is plenty of entertainment, and over 15 varieties of pumpkins and gourds to bring home.
