Sunday’s Showcase – What to do in Vancouver – Vancouver Family Photographer
This is the season of apple picking, pumpkin carving and hot cider (and doughnuts). Get out as a family and enjoy fall. Here are some fun events going on around the area next weekend.
Fantastic Food Festival
Head to the PNE Forum for a food-lovers paradise next Saturday and Sunday. Check out the grounds of the history National Trust property while sampling some of the best culinary creations on offer. This family-friendly event will feature fresh regional produce, barbecues, exotic ices and craft ciders for the adults. Don’t miss out!
Haunted Witch Academy
For a truly bewitching experience check out the Haunted Witch Academy at FlyOver Canada. Visitors meet with Broomelda to find out how to graduate from the academy, complete spooky tasks before taking off on a flight across Canada on a simulated flying ride. All graduates will receive their own Witch Academy diploma too. Everyone is encouraged to dress up in their Halloween finest. Best suited for ages 4 and up.
Stanley Park Ghost Train
Go for a ride on the Stanley Park Ghost Train for some spine-tingling thrills (family-friendly thrills, of course). This year’s theme is “Horror Classics” so expect to see the likes of Dracula, Frankenstein, the Phantom of the Opera, and more come back to life. If the little ones are too scared, take a ride on the matinee train instead.
Vancouver Halloween Parade Expo
Next weekend also marks the return of the annual Halloween parade and festival. There will be special performances, exhibits and a grand parade throughout downtown Vancouver. Enjoy art, music, meet superheroes and much, much more. Bring the whole family for this event that’s surely not to be missed.
