The Harmony Arts Festival
You have just a few more days to check out the Harmony Arts Festival on the West Vancouver Waterfront. For more than twenty years, its been one of the best-loved community events. There will be an array of musical performances, visual art, food demonstrations and much more to satisfy everyone’s tastes. And this year, the festival celebrates its 25th anniversary. It’s perfect for the whole family!
Dog Days of Summer
This Sunday, celebrate the dogs days of summer at the 24th annual pet parade on Bowen Island. In addition to the costume parade, there will be activities including races, demos, contests as well as entertainment, refreshments and exhibits. And don’t forget to bring the family pet – they may just win a prize!
Take the whole family to Stanley Park to see a Broadway-style production of the musical Hairspray. Travel back in time to 1960’s Baltimore and follow all the adventures of teen Tracy Turnblad. The score and choreography will have you dancing in the aisles!
Picnic in the Park
Next Saturday, take the whole family to Picnic in the Park at Connaught Park. There will be carnival rides, a petting zoo, clowns, face-painting, pirates and much more. In addition, food will be available from Pete’s Meat at the BBQ Concession. Wristbands are only $5 – a steal these days!
