Sunday’s Showcase – What to do in the Vancouver Area – Vancouver Family Photographer

sunday showcase

We are getting closer and closer to May, which means summer is right around the corner! It’s almost time to plant our annual flower pots. And everything is in bloom. LOVE! Soak up the rest of the spring with these fun, family-friendly activities in and around Vancouver.

Canstruction

If you have little ones that are interested in art or construction, check out Canstruction at the Four Seasons. This free event brings together artists, designers, engineers and architects creating giant structures out of, you guessed it – cans. This year’s theme is “Fact or Fiction” and the event raises cans of food to be donated to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society. Before my full-time photography days, I used to work for a company that participated in Canstruction and it was my project. Absolutely loved it, and it was for an amazing cause.

Darts Hill Garden Stroll

This is the perfect time to go on a nature stroll through Darts Hill garden in Surrey. There are 7.5 acres of blooming trees, perennials, fruit and more – so make sure to take some pictures. There will also be a plant sale – it’s the perfect opportunity to get the kids interested in gardening and create your own mini garden at home.
