Sunday’s Showcase – What to do in the Vancouver Area – Vancouver Family Photographer
Hard to believe it’s almost June. Which means summer is right around the corner! If you’re feeling some lingering spring fever, here are some fun, family-friendly events to go check out next weekend.
Vancouver International Children’s Festival
Head over to Granville Island for the Vancouver International Children’s Festival. In addition to four indoor theatre venues, there will also be a big-top tent and an arts activity village. There’s something for every age! You can purchase performance tickets or tickets for admission to the activity village.
Wonderland Fayre: Spring Family Festival
This is a family festival not to be missed. Wonderland will host the event on its 13 acres with games, crafts, sports and much more. Adults can enjoy an outdoor cafe with live music throughout the day while kids have the chance to play, dance and enjoy nature.
The Alexandra Festival
If you have room for yet another festival, then check out the Alexandra Festival at Camp Alexandra. Established in 1973, the festival is a community event featuring entertainment, craft fair, family fun zone, refreshments and more. Over 2500 people are expected to attend.
Stars: A Visually Stunning Journey
If you have an astronaut-in-training, check out the new exhibit at the H.R. MacMillan Space Center. Take a journey and see stars like you’ve never seen them before. Learn all about the life of a star and how it grows into a giant Super Nova. Pretty cool.
