Sunday’s Showcase – What to do in the Vancouver Area – Vancouver Family Photographer
Mid-April starts to (hopefully) bring out the beautiful weather along with some spring blossoms. Here are some fun, family-friendly ideas to help you enjoy the start of the new season.
Portland Stags at Vancouver Nighthawks
Want to check out a game of Ultimate Frisbee? There’s no better one to attend than the home opener of the Vancouver Nighthawks at the Thunderbird Stadium on April 16th. The fan experience here is not one to miss as there will be games and contests for the whole family. Everyone can get involved during time outs, and game breaks with fun games, giveaways and more. Go check it out!
Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival
Next weekend is the last to visit the Cherry Blossom Festival so make sure you don’t miss it. Visitors can do a variety of activities such as “bike the blossoms”, take a guided walking tour or be a Cherry Scout by locating and photographing favorite cherry blossoms. The event covers the 23 neighborhoods of Vancouver.
Brant Wildlife Festival
Next weekend is also the last chance to see the 2016 Brant Wildlife Festival: A Celebration of Nature on Vancouver Island. There are a ton of events to see including wildlife viewing adventures, nature art and photography, a bioblitz, spring break camps for kids, guest speakers and much more!
Watershed Creek Fish Release
On April 17th, the annual Watershed Creek Fish Release takes place at Watershed Park and it’s a great way to get in touch with nature. There will be plenty of activities including crafts and interactive presentations. Participants will be able to release buckets of salmon fry into the creek while learning how to reduce your family ‘footprint’ and help enhance the environment.
