The City of Bhangra Festival
Get out and learn about a culture you may not be familiar with. The 10th Anniversary City of Bhangra Festival celebrates the music and dance of the Punjab regions of India and Pakistan. Hundreds of artists and musical acts will give performances in various locations, promising excitement for the whole family. On June 7th, the festival takes place right in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery. Check it out and have fun while learning something new.
Aurora’s Awakening – An Adaptation of Sleeping Beauty
Looking for even more culture? Head to The Vancouver Playhouse on June 6 and 7 for a performance of Aurora’s Awakening – An Adaptation of Sleeping Beauty. Senior professional and junior students of the Goh Ballet will perform this classic tale in an updated rendition that is sure to leave a smile on your face.
