Glimpses 52 Project – Week 4
Today was our little girls first day of preschool. Wow – they aren’t kidding when they say “they grow up so fast”. It’s true! She’s two and a half, and that time has flown by. We’ve been preparing her for this exciting day for the last few months, as we really wanted her to be happy about this new adventure (and didn’t want to leave her crying as we made a run for the car).
How today would unfold was a mystery – and I must say that we were pleasantly surprised. Little miss independent grabbed her lunch bag and ran for the car yelling “I’m going to school dadda!” When the preschool doors opened she ran right inside without any hesitation. A few minutes later her coat and lunch bag were hung in her special spot labelled with her name, and she was sitting in the circle with her cousin and new friends. My husband and I must have looked stunned. I guess she noticed and decided to help us out by yelling our next move, “bye mumma, bye dadda”. That was our signal to leave – she’s got this one. So cute, right?
