finding the light workshop | natural light photographer
Who doesn’t like pushing themselves to try new things? Or is it, who does? It isn’t always easy, but you know you’ve done something right when you walk away from it feeling great. I’m currently taking an eight week course online with a group of inspiring photographers from around the world – Finding the Light. It’s amazing to learn from so many wonderful instructors and other photogs – their feedback is so valuable! I love photographing kids and families in natural, dreamy light and typically stick to the kind of light I am used to working in for sessions. The course has given me a new appreciation for all kinds of light and pushing myself to use whatever light’s available to creatively capture the same magic. The first four weeks have been fantastic, we’ve touched on dramatic light, mid-day harsh lighting, blown out backgrounds, and even the amazing golden hour. Thought I’d share a few of the photos I submitted. Stay tuned in the coming weeks as I learn more about finding the light…
p.s. I’m looking for models to use for my assignment shoots in the coming weeks – my daughter is getting a little tired of participating… 🙂
